Hydro 4000 released this statement Thursday on the test by the St. Lucie County Sheriff's Office:
Green Machine Solutions, a subsidiary of Diversified Energy Group, is aware that after the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Department conducted a test of its HYDRO 4000 by installing it on one of their Ford Crown Victoria squad cars, announced today that the department experienced non-existent results.
Other tests, conducted by the media, individual users, by other high-fuel-consumption businesses, a US Air Force base and by our own R&D team before we ever brought the device to market, have shown a variety of results ranging on average from 10% up to 60%.
However, we acknowledge this is the first test conducted under the very unique circumstances of law enforcement driving, as Sheriff Mascara explained in his press statement.
We have extended an open invitation to Sheriff Mascara, offering at our expense have an experienced HYDRO 4000 installer take a look at their installation on Crown Victoria to confirm the unit was installed and operating at expected capacity and running properly.
GMS has previous successes with the large Ford engines experiencing increases in fuel economy from 20% up to 40%, which is why we were surprised that in this situation there appears to have been absolutely no benefit. Green Machine Solutions’ management stands behind the product and believe it can achieve similar double-digit results with the SLCSO test car.
It is Green Machine Solutions’ mission to help the United States be less dependent on foreign oil by any and all means possible. This problem is bigger than GMS, our parent company Diversified Energy Group, and bigger than the St. Lucie Sheriffs department admirably exploring ways to use its budget economically. We as a nation owe at least this effort to try to help reduce our dependence on foreign oil and reduce harmful emissions for the future of our children and our children's children. If we can help St, Lucie County Sheriff’s department save only 10% across the board with proper installation, we have all made a great step in the right direction.
Sheriff Mascara proved to be a commendably forward-thinking leader by going out on a limb to try our HYDRO 4000 in the first place, and we have respectfully requested the opportunity to prove that the HYDRO 4000 can do the job for the St. Lucie County Sheriffs department. Together, let’s make a difference
TREASURE COAST,FL--When NewsChannel 5 put the Hydro-4000 fuel saving device to the test in May, and came back with impressive results, a lot of people were watching.
A month later, St. Lucie County Sheriff Ken Mascara said, "I did see your test...I think it was your Dodge that they put the application on."
Mascara was one of those viewers watching our reports. He installed two of the units in his fleet in June. Until today, he had yet to release the results of what he forecast to be a one month test.
Treasure Coast resident Taylor Sisto is developing his own version of the Hyrdro 4000 based on the same priciples. He anticipated positive results.
"Oh, I know it works. I know it works. Look at the internet, there's a lot of controversy on the subject, but there's been enough out there to prove it to be true."
The Hydro 4000 company claim to increase fuel efficiency by breaking down water, and introducing hydrogen and oxygen to the engine's combustion chambers, allowing gasoline to burn more completely.
Sisto said the results would speak for themselves...
But the results don't look promising. This graph released by the sheriff shows the fuel economy of one of the cars equipped with the Hydro 4000 over two months' time. Sporadic at best. The service report lists the unit as having several problems including a blown fuse, burned wires, and a leaks.
Sisto is disappointed with the poor results, adding the technology behind these devices remains uncertain.
These results may lead some to wonder if the steps to better fuel economy are more than 'just add water."
